We’re approaching the most wonderful time of the year. We’ll be breaking out scores of decorations, stacks of carols, and (unfortunately) way too much winter clothing. We’re also probably (okay, almost assuredly) going to buy lots of gifts for others—and ourselves, since we’re being honest—online this year. Which means plenty of packaging supplies like corrugated boxes, bubble cushion and packing paper coming our way. And sure, we can recycle all that wonderful stuff, but why not do something with it? Let’s break out the scissors, the tape, some ribbon and paint, and create a corrugated Christmas.

Deck the Halls with Corrugated Décor

One of the best parts of being creative is repurposing materials in unexpected ways. And one of the best parts of the holidays is getting to decorate every wall and surface you can find. You can satisfy both needs by decorating with corrugate, taking those poor lonely corrugated boxes and turning them into festive displays and holiday décor. Whether you create ornaments for the tree, tabletop centerpieces or full-sized corrugated Christmas trees, you won’t want to stop until your corrugated supplies run out.

It’s Beginning to look a lot like an Eco-Friendly Christmas

In a season of wrapping paper, Christmas decorations and way too much eggnog, it can feel good to pare things back a bit. An eco-friendly Christmas can be both creative and good for the soul, casting aside commercialism to create homemade, environmentally-friendly décor. Giving old decorations a fresh coat of paint, using old boxes to create ornaments, and experimenting with unexpected uses of packaging materials will give your efforts a festive, eco-friendly feel.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Cleanup

Once December’s passed, and it’s time to gather up all your holiday décor, there’s the dilemma of how you’re going to put it away. Do you have the original packaging? Do you have other boxes to put it in? Do you even have the room to store it all? Here’s where you’ll be thankful for packaging supplies like file storage boxes, plastic bins and bubble cushion. You’d be surprised what fits in a wardrobe box!

Bonus: The Christmas Cleanup Waltz

No one’s really a fan of cleaning up, but it’s a necessity around Christmas. We’re decorating every surface we can find, eating all the food in sight, and celebrating with everyone we know. Whether we’re at home or at work, packing away Christmas décor takes effort, making sure it takes up as little room as possible, while keeping it as safe as possible for next year.
