Foam pouches are a cushion material that you use to protect fragile items such as glassware, dishes, or frames. They are versatile items that you can use for multiple packing and shipping purposes. Foam packing pouches can be used to line individual items that will fit together in a bigger box. Foam pouches for shipping on the other hand can be used to line the inside of your poly bags or boxes to provide extra protection for either small items or sharp objects. Foam pouches are very lightweight, although they take less room than bubble wrap, they add the same amount of shielding effect to your products. Foam Shipping pouches are made of Polyethylene, or PE for short, which is a form of thermoplastic polymer that is crystalline structured. The density of the material can be modified for different uses. There are four type of Polyethylene, the first is Low-Density Polyethylene which is what shopping bags are made of. They are lightweight and flexible but have very little strength when stretched. The second one is Linear Low-Density Polyethylene, LLDPE is very similar to LDP, but the end product can be easily adjusted to fit the use. LLDPE is what shipping pouches are made of. The third one is High-Density Polyethylene which is more densely structured than the former. This type of Polyethylene is used for rigid items such as garbage bins or cutting boards. The last one is Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, which is the densest version of PE available out there, they are so tough they are incorporated in bulletproof vests and other protective equipment. You might be wondering if Foam Pouches are recyclable. PE is thermoplastic instead of thermoset, which means when it reaches its boiling point it will melt instead of burn. This quality in PE makes foam pouches easier to recycle. Thermoset plastics on the other hand can only be liquified at the starting point, as the initial heating process changes their chemical structure and cannot be reversed. When you browse our page, you might be aware that we offer two different colors of foam packing pouches. There are regular white and pink shipping pouches. Pink pouches are anti-static, and they are great to use for shipping electronic products. Pink Foam pouches for shipping are made of the same material as its white counterpart but there is a chemical additive that prevents the electrostatic effect. This type of tempered plastic is dyed pink to give it a distinction. The next time you see pink foam you will know that it means anti-static! Some shipping pouches aren’t self-sealable, so here are some recommendations on what you can purchase with them. Polybags, Boxes, and even Kraft Mailers are all great examples. There are a variety of different sizes of foam pouches we offer from a square 24 x 24” to a small 4 x 7”. Make sure you measure the dimension of your product for preciseness. Whether you need foam packing pouches or foam pouches for shipping, we can accommodate all your needs.
