Pickup Policy

We’re proud to offer our customers free pickup from our fulfilment location in Mundelein, just outside Chicago, Illinois. This page outlines how it works and what you need to know about our pickup policy. If you’ve any questions, please reach out to us.

HOW DOES THE PICKUP OPTION WORK?

Enter your address at checkout and select the free Pick-Up option listed alongside paid shipping options. Please note that choosing Pick-Up does not expedite a product’s listed lead time.

When your order is ready for pickup, you’ll receive a notification email with a location map, pickup hours, and instructions for when you arrive. Our facility’s pickup location and hours are:

As part of our health and safety efforts during the ongoing pandemic, we’re providing curbside pickup service at our facility. Please stay in your vehicle and call the pickup number included in your notification email. Our team will ask for your order number and bring everything out to you.

Please keep in mind that packaging items can be surprisingly large. Some smaller vehicles may have difficulty accommodating large box sizes and bulk packaging items.

LEAD TIMES FOR PICKUP ORDERS ARE THE SAME AS DELIVERY ORDERS

All pickup orders, whether for stock packaging or custom packaging, are subject to the lead times listed on product pages, checkout pages, and confirmation emails. Custom packaging lead times can also be affected if new artwork or corrections are required.

PICKUP ORDERS MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 30 DAYS OF NOTIFICATION

Customer orders not picked up within 30 days of the pickup notification email’s send date will be automatically refunded and subject to a 15% restocking fee, unless otherwise authorized by The Packaging Company.

RETURNS ARE SUBJECT TO A 15% RESTOCKING FEE

If you wish to return products from The Packaging Company, please note these conditions:

  • Custom packaging, made-to-order items as well as machines and other equipment are considered final sale, unless the item is defective.
  • Products must be in resalable condition and preferably in their original packaging.
  • Returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
  • Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise authorized by TPC.

You can initiate a return through the following steps:

  • Contact customerservice@thepackagingcompany.com and request an RMA.
  • Return your product(s), including the packing slip or order confirmation, to this address:

  • Once we’ve received and inspected your shipment, we’ll issue a refund for your returned products (minus shipping costs) to your original payment method.

We cannot take responsibility for returned products that are lost or damaged during shipping. Please use a delivery service that provides tracking numbers to help secure and track your shipment until it reaches our facility.

Please note: all returns must be inspected and cleared of damage or misuse to qualify for a refund.
